If you’re like me and spend hours watching movies, you have seen this plot line before. Even if you watched 2 action movies in your life, I bet you have seen this plot line.
It’s the overused, annoying, predictable cliche of “Tough guy was the best in the spy/ operation business, he retires early after something traumatic happens and goes to live a simple life while being mean in a ‘funny’ way, then one day he is asked to join back the team cause he’s the ‘ONLY ONE’ who can get the job done an …MORE

This was B grade at its best, started watching but had to skip to the end after 5 minutes because it was so bad.
Here’s an example of the amazing quality, in the last 10 minutes of this movie:
– Car chase scene between a Mercedes c63 (509 horsepower) and a
Mercedes Vito van (190 Horserpower) – The c63 was struggling to keep up with the van somehow.
– Mercedes C63 smashes through solid brick wall and keeps driving, then T-bones the van and is somehow still running.
– Mercedes Van rolls do …MORE

Boring and predictable. Not even the explosions and fighting distracted from the poorly done cliché writing.
It’s classic “stoic guy who does things by his own rules” and lady partner who “sticks by the rules” but is essentially the equivalent to a pretty paperweight with about how useful she is (for the very little time she actually does get to be involved in action scenes).
The characters have very little chemistry and there is very little incentive for you to care about the CIA being blackm ..

So boring, a waste of time. The writers put no effort in at all. A man was shot in the street, then seconds later a crowd that was dispersed by the murder was there to get in the way.
A man that was defeated with no effort suddenly turned into a nearly invincible adversary when he entered his home and got jumped by our hero.
I got about 50 minutes in and thought to continue watching, but couldn’t see the point. It fails to develop a coherent story, so there’s no motivation to keep watching. T …MORE

The Bricklayer lol. It’s inspired me to make a film called The Plumber. He’s CIA and always travels with a plunger. When he’s attacked he shoves the plunger into his assailant’s face so they pass out.
I’m writing the screenplay now.
This is pretty much standard fare, it’s been done in various forms many times before. Nothing to see here, please move along.

Aaron Eckhart is probably broke. Or else he made a blood-oath to someone at some point in his life to agree to do A movie. There is no other reason for a movie so bad to even exist.
And Nina Dobrev really needs to moisturize and condition, and eat, and exercise. Those genes have been outlasted their useful life. Time to put in the work.
To the director and writer – Please enroll in school or retire.
To the producer – You could burn money in winter for heat, and it would be better spent.

By the book action movie which we have seen a thousand times. Nice locations, fast cars, beautiful women and minimal wokeness. It’s a shut the brain off and enjoy it for the 80s 90s inspired spy movie it is.

‘B’ for the story, ‘D’ for Nina’s clumsy role play which dragged it down the drain. ‘C’ for fight scenes, ‘D’ for all the cast. ‘B+’ for Aaron Eckhart’s act. ‘C’ for direction.
Overall, it wasn’t unwatchable. Frankenstein could be credited for the overall success of the movie.
